Jonathan Peterson is a natural advocate with a precise,
measured manner. Adversaries who see his even temper as a lack of passion often underestimate him. The wise ones only make that mistake once. It is, in fact, Mr. Peterson's calm demeanor which makes him the perfect yin for litigation chair Joel W. Todd's intense yang.
Mr. Peterson gained his expertise in commercial litigation by seeking out several of Philadelphia's premier litigation practices in which to work and learn. These include Spector Gadon & Rosen and Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, where he represented attorneys and accountants. He first became acquainted with Mr. Todd when they worked together on a case, and immediately knew Mr. Todd was another leader from whom he could gain infinite knowledge and skill.
Mr. Peterson is a cum laude graduate of Tulane University School of Law and Franklin & Marshall College. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Seventh Circuits.
Mr. Peterson relates his love of advocacy to a childhood in which he saw first-hand how important support could be: when his family home burned down, the Red Cross was on hand to make sure that his family had shelter and essentials. Today, he views himself as an advocate for his clients and the causes close to his heart.
Mr. Peterson gives back to the Red Cross as a member of the Board of Directors of its Montgomery County Chapter. An American history buff, he is also on the Board of Directors of the Valley Forge Historical Society.
Mr. Peterson lives in Narberth with his wife and two sons. When's he not in the office, his weekend days are spent coaching soccer.
